"The last thing that a nonprofit needs is a bunch of people coming to work there that secretly hope they'll get a full-time job," said Robert Rosenthal, director of communications at VolunteerMatch.
“We do see a lot of traffic just before Christmas Eve,” said Robert Rosenthal, director of communications for the San Francisco-based nonprofit. “Then things go into what we call our doldrums.”
There will be a continued growth in employee-engagement programs. If the economy continues to falter, we will see corporations supporting NGOs and nonprofits via employee volunteer programs rather than writing checks.
